Since co-founding VolunTEEN Nation, with his sister, Jake Bernstein has further developed the website, planned events, and created a Junior Board. The Junior Board is a group of students who work together to better the community. This past summer, Jake organized a weekly tennis clinic for youth on the autism spectrum. In the fall the St. Louis Volunteen planned a 9/11 service and remembrance event. Jake also serves on the Danforth Center’s World Food Day event. Over 5,000 youth have found volunteer opportunities from the website postings, volunteer fairs and community service projects. Jake is listed on the 2012 Forbes 30 under 30 list.
